KALDOR CHAOS

Chaos doesn't even come close to describing us! Last post was November 1st so here is what else has been going on.

Celsee celebrated her 13th birthday, you are correct, that means I have three teenage daughters. I would never wish such a thing even on my worst enemy.

Amy celebrated her birthday also! I don't dare say the age, but she still has a good set of lungs.

Brittney and Celsee finished up the Football Cheer Season. Brittney made her goal of being able to do a back hand spring. Celsee will be off to Nationals in Dallas in a few weeks.

Amy made an amazing Thanksgiving dinner, which we shared with Alisha's boyfriend Cheyenne.

We had a snow day, this is the most snow I think we have seen since coming to Texas. Hunter was mad because it was all gone by mid-afternoon.

Alisha has been busy with Cosmo school, her and her friends find plenty of time to practice on each other. My house smells like perm and color solutions.

Alisha, Brittney, and Celsee all had their Young Women in Excellence night at Church. They all had some amazing accomplishments this year.

Celsee had her Christmas Orchestra Concert and did an outstanding job.

We found time this last weekend to go to The Church Christmas Party, it was a Night in Bethlehem. They produced a small reenactment of Jesus Birth. Alisha was Mary, Celsee and Darby sang a song, and Brittney made Joesph's costume. Apparently, according to Celsee, everyone was jealous of her mad curtain opening abilities.

Hunter stays busy driving everyone crazy and being cool, just like his Dad!

Somewhere in the middle of this the girls all got A's and we managed to get three Whitetail deer, an Axis deer, and a turkey. An watch the Grizzlies make it to another FCS Championship game. All this in less than 6 weeks. Now all we have to do is get ready for X-mas, Oh crap, X-mas! AMY!!!!!!!!!

Happy Halloween

We had a Great Halloween this year. It started with the Alisha and Brittney going to a church dance with several other girls from church. They went as the Pink Ladies from Grease. Alisha was the only one who really got into it, going as Frenchy and yes that is her real hair. Next it was on to the church Trunk or Treat, we took the award for Scariest Car (fourth year in a row). I think people at church think I have some serious issues. Next, Amy made eyeballs and maggots for dinner one night. Finally we got around to carving pumpkins. With having to cut out so many I decided to amp things up with some power tools this year. It made it so much easier, I will never go back to jamming a knife through a pumpkin. Finally it was Halloween! We spent the day putting the Haunted House up in the garage. Alisha's boyfriend Cheyenne was a big help. We had fun scaring people as they came through. Even sent a few kids out crying. All in all, we had a great Halloween. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

Missoula Comes to Visit Us in Texas Again!!!

The girls got a chance to be in the Missoula Children's Theater again this year on Base. Even though I am no longer in the military we were able to have the girls participate in Beauty Lou and the Country Beast. The play was a country version of Beauty and the Beast. Alisha and Celsee had the lead roles as "Beauty Lou" (older and younger). Brittney played the part of one of the sisters "Donna Rae" and Darby was one of the country folk. They worked hard for five days and put on two productions. The girls did an excellent job and the play was very cute. It was an excellent way to use up the last of their summer energy. School starts in a week and it will be back to the old grind stone. Most of the pictures didn't turn out to well, but here are few. When I get a chance to edit some video I will add that in also.

Another Cheerleader in the Mix!

Celsee made the Seventh Grade Cheerleading Squad at Glenn Middle School this year and attended her first cheer camp. She had a great time and they did very well. They received the award for Most Improved Squad and won the Spirit Stick. Here is a short video of her squad at camp.

Long awaited bathroom update 2

The Long Awaited Bathroom update 2!
Alisha and Brittney's Bathroom is 90% complete. The other bathroom about 10%, so in total we are 100% complete with one bathroom. Okay so it doesn't really work that way, but it makes me feel better to think of it that way. We should be done with it by this weekend and then no more sharing of one bathroom between seven people. Here is a good look at what it will look like. Enjoy!

Just had to get out of town!

We decided we would go and spend the weekend in San Antonio, just to get out of town. San Antonio is a town deep with Texas History and Culture. So when I asked the Girls what they wanted to see I got the obvious answer "The Mall!".
Well, That just wasn't good enough for Dad, So I dragged them all out in the 100 degree plus weather to see the "Alamo". They were so excited! Can you not tell from the picture, they could hardly contain themselves.

After dragging them to the Alamo we need to go some were "cool" both in temperature and for the kids. So we headed to Ripley's Believe It or Not! and the Wax Museum. The temp was right and the kids had fun! Even if I did make them sit in the Big Tire.

We also hit the malls (for to long if you ask me, and not long enough if you ask the girls)and went to the Magic Time Machine for dinner, where Snow White was our waitress.

All in all, I think we had a good time.

Hold them tight and kiss them goodnight.

Over the last few days I have had a difficult time coming to terms with the death of a close friend's son. Austin was a wonderful young man full of life and did as much with it as a 12 year old boy could. I had the awesome opportunity to spend time fishing and hunting with Austin and will never forget the his amazing spirit and what a gentleman he was. Dealing with his death and the unfortunate circumstances around it, made me realize how important my children our to me. It makes me think do I tell them and show them how much I love them often enough. I can not even imaging the grief and sorrow my friend and his family are going through. So if you are reading this say a prayer for them and then go and hold your family tight and always kiss them goodnight.

Happy Memorial Day! Let us not Forget!

Even though I have made my choice to no longer serve in the United States Army. I am proud of my service and the heritage that came with that service. If my children ever come to me and tell me that they wish to join the military, I will support them fully and tell them it is the most honorable profession there is. I would like to thank all my family that have had the honor of putting on a uniform. First and foremost my Father SFC Orphy H. Kaldor, my sister Lyla and brother Woody, My nephews currently serving in the U.S. Army CPT Jacob Kaldor and SPC Matthew Kaldor, My Uncle George Shipe and his son Steven Shipe, and Uncle Peter Shipe and his daughter Theresia. I would also like to thank my Father-in-law Robert Presnell for his service in the U.S. Army.

On this Memorial Day, let us not Forget the purpose of this day.

GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Darby's Baptism

On the 4th of May Darby Elizabeth Kaldor turned 8 years old. She made the decision to get Baptised and Confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She had a wonderful baptism, she wore a beautiful Dress that her mother had made for her which had a bow from her blessing dress attached. Someday that same bow will be attached to her wedding dress. She was very excited and happy to share this experience with her family. Her father did the baptism and got it right on the first try. (Ya we know Hailli its a miracle)

Where's Alisha?

For those who couldn't find her!

Fun at the Petting Zoo!

Dad, Brit, Darbs, and Hunterman went to the petting zoo to get out of the house for awhile. They got to see Zebras, ride camels and see all sorts of crazy creatures.

Darby and Hunter did not like the idea of have the animals at their backs. Reminds me of a time that I did that and got bit by a Camel. I don't blame them.
Check out Darby's eyes.

Darby was petrified to ride the Camel but saddled up anyways and was off at a snails pace.

It took a half and hour to convince Hunter to pet the animals then he didn't want to leave.

Brittney really liked the four horn goat.

Beauty School Here She Comes

The many stylings of Alisha will now become the many stylings of the world. Watch out World here she comes. Alisha was one of sixteen students from Central and Lake View High Schools to be accepted to Cosmetology School. She will attend half days at the West Texas Training Center and the other half a day at Central High School. We are so proud of her accomplishments. The best part is the school pays the way, saving me $4000.00 per year for the school. So if you need a hair cut, come to Texas it will be free, she will need the practice.

FRESHMAN CHEERLEADING

I (Brittney) just had cheerleader tryouts about a month ago. At the beginning of the week they taught us all the material in two days. Then we had three days to work on our own. I spent a lot of time and worked really hard for those 3 days. Then finally is was tryout day. I got to the gym, stretched and practiced a little more and then headed for the gymnastics gym(where the tryouts were actually held). I was really nervous, but I got out there and did my jumps, the cheer, and the dance with another cheerleader. I waited about half an hour and it turned out that all my effort paid off. I AM NOW A 2009-2010 CENTRAL FRESHMAN CHEERLEADER
We have two maintain three different uniforms.

Bathroom Update 1

Demo has been completed and new pumbling installed. We have started to put up new drywall in places and Hardiebacker in the showers. The new double sink vanity sits in the garage waiting for walls and floors to be completed.

You would be amazed at what you find under a thirty year old tub.

Spring Turkey Hunt

Alisha and Dad went down to the ranch to do some Spring Turkey Hunting. Dad was able to call in three nice Toms, but they hung up just out of range. So no turkey, but they did get a deer on the way down at 0630 in the morning or should we say a deer got them!

The trip wasn't a total failure, Dad was able to catch a couple of four pounders, which we ate for dinner. YUM!!!

Can you find Alisha??

Here we go again!!!!

Here we go again after a major hiatus it is back to working on the house. A few weeks ago Amy used the miter saw for the first time since her accident. So I decided it was time to put her back to work. We are remodeling both the main bathroom and Alisha and Brittney's bathroom. Here are the before pictures. Check back to see the progress as we go.

Alisha and Brittney's Bathroom

Main Bathroom

The best part is all seven of us get to share one bathroom!!!!! YEAH!!!
