CHEERFEST

Last saturday Brittney participated in Cheerfest, which is a cheer competition. There are different areas you can compete in. Brittney chose to compete in the individual dance and stunt competitions. She struggled with her stunt group because the girls were never all at practice at the same time, so she only ever got in a couple practices. Her individual dance however she worked very hard on. She had to make up most of the dance herself, pick her own music and do all the practicing without her cheer coach. We are so proud of her, she worked so hard and did a great job.


As luck would have it, she received third place for her stunt (good job Britt!) but didn't even place in her dance. I was so mad! I don't usually get worked up over competitions, but I have to admitt I was fighting back tears when they announced the 1st through 4th place winners and Britt wasn't included(there wore only like 9 competing). I am sure I am a little biased, but holy cow don't those stupid judges know hard work when they see it!!! I thought Brittney was the best dance there, and I am very proud of her hard work!
